Privacy notice

This page describes what personal data is processed when you visit nl6.eu, on what legal basis, and what rights you have.

nl6.eu is a static documentation site. It uses no cookies, no analytics, no third-party tracking, and no embedded social or video widgets. The only processing that occurs is what's described below.

Controller​

The controller within the meaning of Art. 4 (7) GDPR is the site operator. Identity and postal address are listed in the Imprint.

Data processed​

Server logs (GitHub Pages)​

nl6.eu is hosted on GitHub Pages, operated by GitHub, Inc. (a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation). When you load a page, GitHub processes:

  • IP address
  • User-agent string and language preferences
  • Requested URL and HTTP referrer
  • Timestamp

This data is processed by GitHub for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate service operation. The site operator has no access to these logs.

  • Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interests — secure operation of the service).
  • Retention: governed by GitHub's retention policy, see the GitHub Privacy Statement.
  • Recipient: GitHub, Inc.
  • Third-country transfer: Data is transferred to the United States. GitHub relies on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on Standard Contractual Clauses per Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR.

Email correspondence​

If you contact the operator by email, the content of your message and your sender address are processed for the purpose of responding.

  • Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries); where you initiate contact voluntarily, also Art. 6 (1) (a) (consent).
  • Retention: as long as needed to handle the inquiry, then until you request deletion or until statutory retention obligations expire.
  • Recipient: the operator. No onward transfer.

Cookies and tracking​

This site does not set any cookies and does not use analytics, fingerprinting, or other tracking technologies. No data is shared with advertising networks, social platforms, or analytics vendors.

This site contains links to external resources (e.g., GitHub, opensource.org, eur-lex.europa.eu). When you follow such a link, you become subject to the privacy policy of the destination site. The operator has no control over how those sites process your data.

Your rights​

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Information about personal data processed about you (Art. 15)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • Erasure (Art. 17)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • Data portability (Art. 20)
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
  • Withdrawal of consent at any time, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3))

Right to lodge a complaint​

If you believe the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77). The competent authority for the operator is:
